Exploring Mawddach Estuary
‘Exploring Mawddach Estuary’ is an original lithograph print from a limited edition of 16. Printed on thick Somerset Satin soft white paper using traditional limestone lithography. This print was made in collaboration with the talented lithographer Scarlett Rebecca during my artist residency in Wales.
For two weeks in March I stayed at the Mawddach Residency where I spent my time immersing myself in the landscape, exploring the estuary/surrounding mountains, sketching, and taking reference photographs. Near the end of the residency, I collaborated with Scarlett to create a limited edition lithograph print. She took care of the technical side and I was able to focus on the imagery. To create this image, I combined multiple photos and memories together to capture my favourite parts of the landscape.
