Beach Study 2
‘Beach Study 2’ is an original wood engraving print from a limited edition of 50. Printed on thin Kitakata paper using traditional oil based ink.
This print was inspired by walks on my local beaches in Cornwall. In this small composition, I was practicing capturing the curved shape of the shoreline and using different mark-making techniques to create contrast between the light sandy beach, the sparkling water, and the dark rocky cliffs.
Paper size: 6 x 6 inches (15.5 x 15.5 cm)
